Governance Studio First Steps

After signing in, start with a project. A project is the workspace where a team applies policies, manages controls, captures evidence, and monitors governance status for a specific system.

  1. Confirm your organization membership and role.
  2. Create or select a project.
  3. Add project team members and assign roles.
  4. Review the policy library.
  5. Apply a policy to the project.
  6. Open the applied policy and review its controls.
  7. Add declarations, reviews, attachments, and indicators as needed.

Before inviting broad usage, administrators should verify:

  • The identity provider login flow works for the intended user population.
  • Organization owner and project owner permissions are assigned correctly.
  • API key generation is available only to users who should create integrations.
  • Storage-backed uploads work for evidence attachments.
  • Integrity and lineage features are enabled only when Integrity Service is configured.
