Integrity Service Overview
Integrity Service supports the trust and evidence layer of Governance Platform. Most users encounter it through Governance Studio lineage, certificate, and evidence workflows rather than by using Integrity Service directly.
What Integrity Service Provides
Section titled “What Integrity Service Provides”- Content-addressed records for governance evidence.
- Lineage graph records that connect evidence, declarations, reviews, policies, and credentials.
- Policy manifests that summarize the evidence behind a governance claim.
- Compliance certificate issuance support.
- Credential status and revocation support for issued credentials.
How It Fits with Governance Studio
Section titled “How It Fits with Governance Studio”Governance Studio and Governance Service create the user-facing governance workflow. Integrity Service preserves the evidence relationships and signed records that help auditors understand why a credential or certificate was issued.
If Integrity Service is unavailable, normal project and control work may continue, but lineage, certificate, manifest, and credential-status workflows can fail or be delayed.
User-Facing Principles
Section titled “User-Facing Principles”- Evidence should be traceable back to the governance workflow that produced it.
- Certificates should be issued only when the supporting evidence is complete.
- Revoked credentials should no longer be treated as active evidence.
- Lineage should help reviewers understand relationships without exposing implementation internals.
