Activity Logs

Activity Logs record user actions performed within Governance Studio, providing a detailed audit trail for reviewers and administrators.

They are accessible by all roles within Governance Studio.

Key concepts and actions associated with Activity Logs include:

Each log entry contains:

  • The date and time the action was taken
  • The user who performed the action
  • The action itself
  • The project in which the action occurred
  • The raw JSON log of the action, available by expanding the entry

Activity Logs record all actions considered critical to an organization’s operations, including:

  • Adding organization members and managing their roles
  • Adding project members and managing their roles
  • Creating and revoking user API keys
  • Issuing and revoking a credential
  • Creating, archiving, and reapplying a project
  • Creating a policy
  • Applying, archiving, or reapplying an applied policy within a project
  • Submitting declarations and reviews
  • Creating, applying, activating, and disabling an indicator
  • Printing a PDF report

Activity Logs are retained for the lifetime of Governance Studio. Logs are not automatically wiped or purged, and persist as long as they remain stored in a database.

There are two ways to access Activity Logs:

After logging into Governance Studio:

  1. Select the Activity Logs icon in the navigation sidebar to view logs across all projects
